Improving construction safety with virtual-design construction technologies – a review

The construction industry is prone to major safety hazards owing the complex and onsite nature of projects. Hence, researchers have been pursuing concepts, methods, tools using advancing technologies improve management. Subsequently, rapid digitization work practices providing opportunities safety. Research has revealed that management can benefit from applications virtual design (VDC), such as building information modeling (BIM), reality (VR), augmented (AR), geographic systems (GIS), gaming technology.
